Abstract (PL)
Badanie ultrasonograficzne jest przydatnym narzędziem w diagnostyce chorób nerek. Jednym z paradygmatów interpretacji ultrasonograficznej jest założenie, że obraz ultrasonograficzny odpowiada anatomicznym przekrojom ocenianego narządu. W artykule omówiono zagadnienie różnicowania korowo-rdzeniowego w badaniu ultrasonograficznym, skupiając się na jego znaczeniu w ocenie nerek oraz akcentując wątpliwości związane z obrazem granicy korowo-rdzeniowej.
Abstract (EN)
Ultrasound scan (US) is a useful tool in the renal disease diagnostics process. One of the paradigms of US interpretation is the assumption that the ultrasound image directly corresponds with anatomical intersections of the examined organ. In the following article authors presented the issue of corticomedullary differentiation in ultrasound assessment and focused on its significance in renal ultrasound, pointing out doubts related with the image of separation between cortex and medulla.
