dc.abstract.enPractical implications: The manuscript concerns on the development of OACPS countries and the urbanization processes taking place in them. The text may be of interest to the government sector at large. Social implications: the research carried out can provide a basis for working off international and national development strategies from the point of view of improving the well being of their populations, pointing out the direction of transformations and providing the possibility of comparability of the transformations taking place between developing countries, including primarily African countries. Originality/value: The originality of the article is the use of the TOPSIS method, which is necessary to classify countries and determine their level of development from the point of view of socio-economic phenomena in the context of urbanization.
