Dostępność wody dla lasu z uwzględnieniem susz od początku XX wieku na obszarze Puszczy Noteckiej

dc.abstract.enThe Puszcza Notecka Forest is predisposed to drought due to the deep sand layers, low water storage capabilities of the soil aeration zone and a high groundwater table below the ground level, usually below the range of active tree roots. Therefore, water availability to the forest in the Puszcza Notecka depends significantly on the dynamics of weather conditions, both precipitation (input) and evapotranspiration (output). These conditions have grave ecosystem implications and are essential determinants shaping the frames of forest management practices, particularly regarding climate change and instability. We have tried to assess the dynamics of meteorological elements and drought indices during the period of 1901-2020 for the annual, monthly, seasonal, and vegetation periods. We have assessed the dynamics of air temperature, precipitation, potential evapotranspiration, climatic water balance, and drought measures: the Standardized Precipitation Evapotranspiration Index and the Palmer Drought Severity Index. The main changes in climate parameters, including the periods of significant changes of the rate (change-points), were investigated.
dc.abstract.plWarunki fizyczno-geograficzne, zwłaszcza miąższe zaleganie piasków, niskie zdolności retencyjne gleb i gruntów w strefie aeracji, a także głębokie zaleganie wody gruntowej, zwykle poniżej strefy czynnej korzeni drzew, sprawiają, że obszar Puszczy Noteckiej jest stosunkowo podatny na susze. Zatem dostępność wody dla lasu na obszarze Puszczy zależna jest silnie od przebiegu warunków atmosferycznych, zarówno w zakresie przychodów, będących rezultatem opadów atmosferycznych, jak i rozchodów wynikających z przebiegu procesu ewapotranspiracji. Te uwarunkowania mają istotne konsekwencje ekosystemowe i decydują o warunkach prowadzenia gospodarki leśnej, zwłaszcza w kontekście zmian klimatu. W pracy podjęto próbę oceny przebiegu elementów meteorologicznych oraz miar suszy w okresie 1901–2020 dla lat, miesięcy, pór roku, a także okresu wegetacyjnego. Oceniano dynamikę temperatury, opadów, ewapotranspiracji potencjalnej, klimatycznego bilansu wodnego oraz rozkładu i natężenia suszy z wykorzystaniem jej miar, tj. standaryzowanego klimatycznego bilansu wodnego oraz wskaźnika suszy Palmera. Oceniano główne trendy elementów klimatu, w tym również okresy znaczących zmian tych trendów (tzw. punkty zmiany).
