Abstract (EN)
Taking soy-based food supplements for menopausal symptomsby women may reduce the risk of cancer. Therefore, theinteraction between nucleic acids (or their constituents) andingredients of the supplements, e. g., isoflavone glucosides, onthe molecular level, has been of interest with respect to cancertherapy. In this work, the interaction between isoflavoneglucosides and G-tetrads, namely [4G + Na]+ ions (G stands forguanosine or deoxyguanosine), were analyzed by using electro-spray ionization-collision induced dissociation-mass spectrome-try (ESI-CID-MS) and survival yields method. The strength ofisoflavone glucosides-[4G + Na]+ interaction in the gas phasewas determined from Ecom50 – the energy required to fragment50 % of selected precursor ions. Glycitin-[4G + Na]+ interactionwas found to be the strongest, and the interaction betweenisoflavone glucosides and guanosine tetrad was established tobe stronger than that between isoflavone glucosides anddeoxyguanosine tetrad.
